• For every rental starting in Almaty, you must submit your itinerary in advance and travel with our English-speaking guide.
• Return the motorcycle in the same condition as at pickup: washed and with the same fuel level.

Hard off-road use—including deep sand, beaches, rocky freeride terrain, wetlands, creek beds and rivers—is prohibited and may result in a $500 fine. Coordinate your route with us before departure.

Answers to the questions we are asked most often about renting a motorcycle in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
As a rule, no — the motorcycle has to stay in the country where you picked it up. There is one exception: rentals that start in Almaty may travel between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, together with our guide and on a route agreed with us in advance. Trips to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, China, Russia or Mongolia are not possible on a Kazakhstan rental — write to us and we will offer a motorcycle based in the country you need.
For every rental starting in Almaty you must send us your itinerary in advance and travel with our English‑speaking guide. Outside the big cities, motorcycle workshops, hospitals, mobile coverage and English‑speaking assistance are very limited, so this is a safety requirement rather than a formality. Tell us your dates and planned route and we will confirm all the details.
Three days. The longer the rental, the lower the daily rate — the price steps down for rentals of roughly one, two and three weeks or more. Current rates for the Suzuki DR650SE, BMW G650GS and Ural 750 are shown in the price tables above on this page.
A valid international driving licence with a motorcycle category, a minimum age of 25 years and at least three years of riding experience. You should also be able to repair a puncture and carry out basic maintenance on the road. Your route must be approved by us in advance, especially if it includes off‑road sections.
The refundable damage deposit is $1,500 for the BMW G650GS and $500 for the Suzuki DR650SE and the Ural 750. It covers damage to the motorcycle and is returned in full when you bring the bike back in the same condition as at pickup — washed and with the same fuel level.
Included: unlimited mileage, a full set of vehicle documents for travelling in Kazakhstan, a tool kit, and an airport transfer for rentals longer than 14 days. Not included: fuel, the compulsory third‑party insurance ($50), the refundable damage deposit, and any damage to the motorcycle itself.
Third‑party insurance is required and costs $50. It covers damage you cause to third parties up to $2,500. It does not cover the rented motorcycle: damage to the bike remains the renter's responsibility and is settled from the damage deposit.
Suzuki DR650SE, BMW G650GS and Ural 750. Every bike is serviced after each tour or rental — engine oil, filters, tyres, chains, sprockets and brake pads — with original parts. The DR650SE carries a 20‑litre Acerbis tank, which gives up to 400 km on one fill, and comes with a Moose Racing rear rack (up to 50 L / 5 kg), a 12V socket and a RAM phone holder. Bikes with high mileage are offered with a 25% discount.
Gravel, dirt and mountain roads on a route agreed with us are fine. Hard off‑road use is prohibited: deep sand, beaches, rocky freeride terrain, wetlands, creek beds and river crossings. Riding there may result in a $500 fine in addition to any damage, so please coordinate your route with us before departure.
Every motorcycle goes out with tools, spare clutch cables and levers, spare front and rear tubes, a pump and a puncture repair kit, so most problems can be solved on the road. If the bike cannot be ridden, we can arrange evacuation by car from any place a car can reach (extra charge). Remember that workshops, mobile coverage and English‑speaking help are limited outside the main cities.
