Motorcycle rental in Uzbekistan

No. A motorcycle rented in Tashkent may be used inside Uzbekistan only — crossing into Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan or any other country is not allowed. If your trip covers several countries, write to us and we will suggest a motorcycle based in the country you need.

Yes, you can travel independently. We do ask for details of your planned route in advance, especially if it includes off-road sections. If you don't have enough experience for solo travel in remote areas, we recommend joining one of our guided tours or hiring a guide.

Rates start from 3 days: $70 per day for 3–10 days, $65 per day for 11–15 days, $60 per day for 16–20 days and $55 per day from 21 days.

A valid international driving licence with a motorcycle category, a minimum age of 25 years and at least 3 years of riding experience. You should also be able to repair a puncture and carry out basic maintenance on the road, and send us details of your route — especially if it includes off-road sections.

The refundable damage deposit is $500. It covers damage to the motorcycle and is returned when you bring the bike back undamaged.

Included: unlimited mileage and a tool kit. Not included: fuel, third-party insurance ($50), the refundable $500 deposit, and any damage to the motorcycle.

Third-party insurance costs $50 and is not part of the daily rate. It does not cover the rented motorcycle: damage to the bike itself remains the renter's responsibility and is settled from the $500 deposit.

We rent the Lifan 200 (2023 model). It is a light, simple and economical bike that suits Uzbekistan's paved roads and easy gravel well.

Paved roads and easy gravel on a route agreed with us are fine. The motorcycles are not designed for hard off-road: sand, beaches, rocky terrain, extreme off-road freeride and wetlands such as creek beds and rivers are prohibited and may result in a $500 fine. Please coordinate your route with us in advance.

Motorcycle workshops in Central Asia are scarce, even in cities. Hospitals are only available in larger towns, which can be far apart. Some roads are deserted, with no mobile network coverage and few English-speaking locals. Be prepared to rely on yourself for repairs and navigation — and if that feels like too much, join one of our guided tours instead.
